MLB The Show 26 April Patch Notes: Key Fixes and Updates

MLB The Show 26 received its latest major update, Game Update 6, on April 15, 2026. Following a smaller stability patch on April 9 (Update 5), this update tackles some of the biggest issues reported by the community, covering Franchise, Diamond Dynasty, and Road to the Show improvements. Here’s everything you need to know.

Franchise Mode Improvements

Game Update 6 brings several quality-of-life upgrades for Franchise players, especially in the Trade Hub and scheduling:

  • Corrected Start Times: Home games for the Cubs, Guardians, and Astros now have the proper start times. Heads up: this requires starting a new save file to take effect.
  • Trade Hub Enhancements: A new “recommended Market strategy” guide was added with a help button. Page numbers now appear on the Trade Alert popup, and directive text has been updated for clarity.
  • Roster Management: You can now switch organizations directly from Manage > View Roster while in Streamlined Mode.
  • Bug Fixes: Fixed a memory leak crash on the Fantasy Draft screen and corrected generated player appearances that were previously mismatched in future seasons.

Diamond Dynasty Fixes

Diamond Dynasty saw several fixes that improve stability and collections:

  • Live Series Collections: No more wrong MLB team showing up when completing a collection.
  • Mini Seasons: Fixed a server exception that stopped players from entering Classic Mini Seasons.
  • Captain System: You can now assign or unassign a Captain without issues.
  • Visual Stability: Player card art no longer appears corrupted or static, and the freeze after exiting Moments has been resolved.

Road to the Show & General Updates

Update 6 also smooths out Road to the Show progression and general gameplay quirks:

  • Draft Combine: Fixed a scoreboard bug that showed wrong team names.
  • Progression: Players will now be correctly demoted if they fail to meet performance thresholds.
  • Stat Tracking: Pitching stats can once again be scrolled through on the player card.
  • Gameplay Fixes: Home run boundaries at Oracle Park’s right field are now accurate.

Update 5 (April 9)

Before this big patch, Update 5 was a smaller technical fix aimed at resolving crashes in certain in-game presentations. It laid the groundwork for the bigger improvements in Update 6.

Takeaway

April’s updates show that SIE San Diego Studios is actively listening to player feedback. From smoother Franchise tools to Diamond Dynasty collection stability and Road to the Show progression fixes, Update 6 makes MLB The Show 26 more reliable and enjoyable across the board.

If you’re jumping in this month, make sure to start a new Franchise save to fully experience the scheduling improvements and enjoy a cleaner, crash-free Diamond Dynasty experience.
