At our childcare centre in Papatoetoe, every day is thoughtfully planned to support children’s learning, creativity, and well being. Recently, we enjoyed a truly lovely day filled with happy moments, meaningful learning experiences, and plenty of smiles both indoors and outdoors.

Outdoor Play That Builds Social Skills

Outdoor play is an important part of our Fun N Play childcare centre, and the children had a wonderful time participating in a tossing ball game. It was heart-warming to see them line up patiently, wait for their turn, and cheer for one another. Activities like these nurture children’s coordination, teamwork, and patience, all within a fun, supportive day care centre environment.

Creative Learning Indoors

Inside our preschool rooms, children explored a variety of engaging and hands-on activities. As part of our Chinese New Year learning, we talked about the Year of the Horse. The children expressed their creativity through horse painting, which also helped strengthen fine motor skills and concentration.

Some children were deeply focused on a paper hair salon cutting activity, carefully practising their scissor skills, while others worked together to build a big house. This collaborative play encouraged imagination, communication, and problem-solving are the key goals of our childcare centre

Language and Cultural Learning in Childcare centre

During mat time, we enjoyed learning together. The children practised the alphabet and explored the sounds of new words, supporting early language development in our inclusive and nurturing childcare centre.
